Aim High Art Books

Our Aim High Art books are used to record personal progression for all pupils. This book will follow the children through the school, showing not only term by term but year on year progression. The children love to look back on what they have achieved.

Each pupil completes a ‘cold task’ at the beginning of any art unit. This will is an attempt at completing a piece of art before being taught the skill.

At the end of the unit when appropriate skills have been taught, the children produce a ‘hot’ task to exhibit the skills they have learnt. This piece is also be added to the Aim High Art book alongside the ‘cold’ task.

At the beginning of each year all pupils also draw a self portrait and add this to their Aim High books too.
